PDP NWC Nullifies Appointment Of State Chairmen For Enugu, Delta

*Says Zoning Of Adamawa Governorship to Central Stands

Following the earlier resignation of the Chairmen of Enugu and Delta
state chapters of the PDP, the National Working Committee (NWC) has
directed the Deputy Chairmen of the chapters to immediately take over
the affairs of the party in their respective states.

A statement by Olisa Metuh National Publicity Secretary of the party said the NWC at its meeting on Wednesday, October 29, 2014 nullified the
appointment of state chairmen for Enugu and Delta and directed the
deputy chairmen to convene a meeting within two weeks to elect new
chairmen in accordance with the provisions of the PDP constitution.

Furthermore, the NWC assures that the agreement reached with all the
governorship aspirants in Adamawa state, zoning the governorship
position to Adamawa Central will be fully respected. Accordingly, the
NWC expects that only aspirants from Adamawa Central will present
themselves for the governorship primaries ahead of the 2015 general
elections.

The national leadership promises that there will be free, fair and
transparent congresses in the state in keeping with the party’s strict
adherence to the dictates of the principles of internal democracy and
the PDP constitution.
