“It has come to my notice that Hon. Acho Obioma, on a public radio (not BCA) claimed that I apologized to him when he called me on phone bordering on my Press Release which was posited on five national dailies, Vision Africa and BCA.
‘Let the discerning public know that I did not apologize to Acho, I do not have any reason to apologize. My Press Release was based on principle backed with facts.
“He attacked Senator Orji for non-performance in the Senate and I challenged his claims
“Senator T. A. Orji has proven evidence of achievements as a law maker. As I stated, there are multiple constituency projects, ranging from scholarships given to verifiable persons and other infrastructural largesses. Recently not less than 350 have undergone surgeries at Dr. Anya’s clinic in Ohafia Street, Umuahia, Abia State.
“A recent publication by the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria rendered all the Bills and resolutions sponsored by all the Senators. Senator Orji’s name is prominent in the said publication, putting Abia Central District in enviable position.
“If Obioma intends to be in the Senate, it is not through the newspapers but votes from the people of Abia Central after he has gotten the APC nomination.
“I will not want to be dragged into brickbats and mudslinging because there are can of worms waiting to be opened if Obioma continues his spate of inexactitudes.
“I challenge Obioma to show evidence of my apology, at least technology will come to his rescue. The MTN network with which he called me can make available transcripts.
“Hon. Obioma should keep quiet and limit his campaign to issues and not calumny.”
