Imo Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere has called on Nigerian leaders to humble themselves to God and ask of His intervention and wisdom in the cause of service to humanity.
Prince Madumere made this remark shortly after worship session titled a day with Jesus at International Conference Centre, Jerusalem.
Relating to the passage of the bible, Chronicles chapter 9 verses 10 to 13 where he told the people especially the leaders to emulate the life of thanksgiving and recognition of God as the one who gives power and honour.
Speaking further, he called on the people not to rely only in their knowledge since they neither have control over life nor the future.
He therefore tasked the leaders to appreciate God by rendering good service to humanity and leaving a lasting positive legacy in His appreciation.
Fielding questions on pilgrimage, he submitted that pilgrimage is any journey not necessarily limited to Israel, which creates room to interact with the foundation of faith, which he says rejuvenates spiritually, morally and strengthens Christian beliefs in Christ Jesus.
He also observed that the Kibbutz too has opened another important area great interest as it concerns development and appreciation of Israeli uncommon science in optimum utilization of resources to the extent he said even rocks grow crops. He stressed that is one area he will take home and liaise with Governor Okorocha to further help manage both natural and material resources more effectively while creating job for the youth.
Shading more light on Pilgrimage, the Speaker, House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara stated that the occasion drew its inspiration from the day king Solomon pray and seek wisdom to built his temple where Christians from all works of live will come to worship Sot The occasion is expected to cap with visitation to the wailing wall in Jerusalem.
Emmanuel Nanle, Director, Press and Media to Governor of Plateau State on his part noted that special pilgrimage is an intercessory package put together by the [NCPC] for senior government officials, religious leaders and officials to take time to pray for good governance, peace and security of Nigwria. He added that the package with the theme PILGRIMAGE A TOOL FOR MORAL TRANSFORMATION AND SPIRITUAL REBIRTH will avail Christian leaders the opportunity to reflect on their lives as Christians.
As earlier stated by Executive Secretary of Nigerian Christian Pilgrim Commission (NCPC), John Kennedy Opara, on historical and relevant places of visits, the pilgrims visited some Holy sites, which include Capernaum, Galilee and wailing walls for prayers for pilgrims.
Arranged visit to Kibbutz near Galilee for pilgrims to have first-hand knowledge of the Israeli people, their commitment and agricultural revolution according to Professor Vincent Anigbogu is for leaders and Christians to get exposed to a prototype of what is required of private businessmen and women and the country towards achieving food sufficiency.
