Oyo: Ajimobi presents 12 Commissioners nominees to lawmakers for approval

Governor Isiaq Abiola Ajimobi on Tuesday in Ibadan presented to the State House of Assembly the names of 12 commissioner nominees to serve in the State Executive Council.
The Governor is seeking the approval of the Commissioner nominees from the lawmakers.
The Speaker of the Legislature, Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu announced the nominees while reading the message from the Executive at the plenary presided over by herself.
Five of the former Executive Council members , Barrister Adebayo Ojo, Mr. Dapo Lam Adesina, Princess Adetutu Akhigbe Adeyemi, Dr.Muyiwa Gbadegesin and Mr. Zacheus Adelabu made the list.
The new nominees include are Prof.S.O.A Olaniyan, Princess Olufunke Oworu, Prince Gbade Lana, Mr. Faruk Umar Alao and Engineer Deji Akande. The rest are Hon. Adewale Lawrence Olujide and Mr. Abiodun Fatai Atanda.
All the nominees have been directed by the House of Assembly to appear for screening this Wednesday at 9.00am with 40 copies of their credentials.
Meanwhile, the House has approved a tenure extension of sixmonths for the Transition Committee Chairmen in all the 33 Local Government Councils in the State following a request for the approval sent to the House by the State Governor.
The tenure of the present local government transition Chairmen is scheduled to lapse on Thursday this week.
