*It’s pure lies- Ngige…

All Progressives Congress (APC) candidate in the Anambra November 16 gubernatorial candidate, Senator Chris Ngige has reportedly engaged in a scuffle with a Catholic Priest, Rev. Fr. Evaristus Ezekwona.
It was gathered that the incident which happened at the burial of the mother of the Catholic Bishop of Awka Diocese, Bishop Paulinus Ezeokafor in Nanka, Agulu, Anambra State on Thursday left many people in shock.
An eye witness said Senator Ngige had erroneously thought that Rev. Fr. Ezekwona was deliberately standing in his way and suddenly shoved and slapped the Priest.
“We were all horrified at the sight. Senator Ngige must have acted blindly because the man was dressed in his cassock. There were screams of shock and horror from the onlookers but Senator Ngige could not be stopped. He must have mistaken Fr. Evaristus for a member of the opposition party,” the eye witness said.
However, speaking to Daily Review Online, an aide to Senator Ngige, Pat Anyadubalu, said no such incident took place.
He said: “This report is not true. It is the figment of imagination of the opposition party. They’ve been manufacturing lies to cover up their dirty deeds. They know they have been losing grip of the election and they want to manufacture anything to tarnish the image of Senator Ngige. Nothing of such happened.”
